Miss Cathy-- At the suggestion of her then 16 year old daughter, Cathy took her first
    dance class- a tap class. She went on to dance in a solo in that years recital. Since
    then, Miss Cathy has taken classes in Ballet, Show Tap, Irish Tap, Jazz and Pointe. Miss
    Cathy is teaching her favorite subject, Ballet. Miss Cathy is a Registered Nurse and has
    worked in Labor and Delivery for nearly 20 years.




    Mr. Dago-- Mr. Nieves, affectionately known as “Dago,” began his ballet training at age
    8 with Edward Parish.  His first performance was in Chicago City Ballet’s Nutcracker at
    the age of 9. Mr. Dago continued his ballet training at New York City Ballet's School of
    American Ballet on full scholarship. He was later invited to join American Ballet Theatre
    under the artistic direction of Mikhail Baryshnikov, world-renowned dance artist. At ABT,
    Dago performed as a soloist as well as in the corps de ballet. He also danced as a
    soloist with the Milwaukee Ballet and with Pacific Northwest Ballet. His classical repertoire
    includes Giselle, Romeo and Juliet, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Swan Lake, The
    Nutcracker, and the title role in Prodigal Son.



    Mr. Justin-- Justin started attending Dance Central in 2006 as an assistant to former  
    Ballroom instructor Hillary Bastian. He had started studying ballroom in 2004 at Harmony
    High School under Christian and Hillary Bastian.  In 2006 Justin proudly participated in
    Harmony High School’s nationally ranked ballroom team (which won 1st place in the 2nd
    division in the National Championships held in  alt Lake City/Provo, Utah). As a student
    of the Bastians’, Justin took class from Elena Grinenko of Dancing with the Stars and
    had the privilege of dancing alongside other stars of the same show in the Disney
    Christmas Parade. Justin team-teaches with his partner of 6 years, Lisa Coffey. This will
    be their  6th year of teaching ballroom at Dance Central.





    Miss Lisa-- Miss Lisa’s involvement with dance started at the tender age of 8 years old,
    when Dance Central was June Myers School for the Performing Arts. She has more than
    16 years of dance experience. In her junior year of high school, she had the opportunity
    to audition for the Harmony High School Ballroom Dance Team, taught by Mr. & Mrs.
    Bastian. She joined the team in 2006 and competed in the National Championships in
    Salt Lake City/Provo, Utah. The team won 1st place in division 2. Miss Lisa has
    competed and performed ballroom in various venues, as well as in an assortment of
    groups. She has performed at the U.S. State Department headquarters and in the
    Dancing with the Stars section of the Walt Disney World Christmas Parade. With her
    ballroom partner, Justin Schaad, Miss Lisa has won various competitions and awards in
    the Smooth and Latin levels. She and Justin are beginning to teach their 6th year of
    ballroom with Dance Central. After being a teaching assistant under Miss Dee's tutelage,
    Miss Lisa has become a skilled Preschool dance teacher as well. Miss Lisa is also
    currently a camp counselor group leader for 4 years now in the City of St. Cloud.

  
  


    Miss Kristen--
started dancing at the age of 3 at The Hanover Children's Ballet
    Theatre and Company in Hanover, PA.  Throughout her training, she has studied
    and attended convention classes taught by various top choreographers including
    Frank Hatchett, Gus Giordano, Christina Woodward, Mandy Moore, Tabitha &
    Napoleon, Gil Stroming, and many more.  Throughout her career, she has danced
    in many regional and national dance competitions and received top scoring awards;
    she was even selected by Mia Michaels to receive a jazz scholarship.  Under the
    direction of Dawn Glass, Kristen was a member of the award-winning Force
    Performing Company with the Oxford School of Performing Arts in Pennsylvania.  A
    few of her performance credits include Dance Alloy Performances in Pittsburgh, PA;
    The Nutcracker in NYC choreographed by Ilya Gaft; Capital One Bowl halftime show
    in Orlando, FL; UMBC Student Showcases in Baltimore, MD and the Nutcracker with
    the West Coast Ballet Theatre in San Diego, CA.  Kristen has taught at top award-
    winning studios including the Oxford School of Performing Arts, the B. Funk Dance
    Company (home of Monsters of Hip Hop & Contemporary), and San Elijo Dance and
    Music Academy.  Kristen has taught and touched the lives of many students across
    the country; many of them have gone on to appear in television commercials, sign
    with top dance and modeling agents, receive dance scholarships, and even land a
    spot on Broadway!

      

  
    
Ms. Christy-- began dancing at age 4 in Michigan. She has since studied dance in
    Orlando, Tampa, Miami, and New York. She received a B.A. in Modern Dance
    Performance from the University of South Florida. In 1998, she had her choreography
    showcased at the American College Dance Festival held in Baltimore, Maryland.
    She has previously worked with numerous choreographers, including Joe Goode,
    Doug Varone, Sean Curran, and Jose Bustamante. Ms. Christy was a founding
    member of Voci Dance, Inc., and is now pleased to be performing with Yow Dance.
    Ms Christy currently works at The American Idol Experience at Disney's Hollywood
    Studios and is a part-time student preparing for her Doctorate in Physical Therapy.

   

 
   Miss Tina - Has 12 years of experience in the Martial Arts and gymnastics. She is a 2nd
degree black belts in Tae Know Do. Miss Tina has competed in many U.S.A and Korean
tournaments, Plus in 2004 she became the "Florida State Champion " in  "Extreme Weapons".
In 2005, Miss Tina was invited to a private audition in South Korea for the world famous,
" Korean Tigers Team". She accepted. From 2005 -2007, Went to South Korea ( two trips) to
train with other martial artists and learn their culture. It was a business / pleasure trip. Both
times that Miss Tina went to South Korea was asked by her Grandmaster to perform her
extreme " Bo Staff "  at all the universities she visited, in South Korea. As so by Grandmaster,
she received the * VIP * award for hard work and dedication in the world of martial arts. Over
the years, she has performed in over 300 shows  with her demo team up until 2009.  Miss Tina
has been working with kids in gymnastics for 5 years. As her parents owned
Black Belt World for over 5 years.
