Class Attendance and Make-ups • If a student must miss a class, please call ahead to let us know. • We urge the student to take a make-up class. This way you are getting all the classes you have paid for and the student has a chance to learn, practice, and master essential dance skills. Money will not be refunded or credited for student absences. • During Semester 1: We focus heavily on teaching dance technique, including steps students will need later for their Recital dance. Please call Miss Dee for advice about the most suitable make-up class for your child. • During Semester 2: Make-ups often require special scheduling so the student can practice his/her Recital dance with the rest of the class. Such classes are usually difficult to schedule because of the studio’s heavy use. For this reason, each student who wants to be in the Recital must make a strong commitment to attend the regularly scheduled class. • To be in the end of the year Recital dance, the student must attend no fewer than 16 of the last 20 regularly scheduled class sessions, including 3 of the final 4 class sessions. It is also necessary to attend the Dress Rehearsal. |
